Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you found something you like.
Here is a little about me so we can get a little acquainted.
I have always loved working with my hands, knitting and crocheting for my grandchildren (all 13 of them), adults clothing and items for the home and beautiful handbags for over thirty years.
There is something magical to me about starting with a strand of yarn between the fingers and ending up with something you can hold in your hands. I love the feel of the yarn moving as if part of my fingers as it changes moment to moment until at last I am finished with this beautiful piece and the awesome feeling of knowing I have created it with my own two hands.
But as life happens I was involved in 2 separate car accidents in the last four years and after three operations on my shoulders I can no longer knit and crochet so I have gone back to another love of my life designing and creating jewelry!!!
My daughter Barbara has helped me turn my life around and I am having a ball doing something I love to do. She is a very gifted artist and designs gorgeous high end jewelry. and she reminded me of this love I have been neglecting.
I have throughout my life been a "crafty" person I also come from a family (siblings, aunts, uncles, parents and grandparents)who have been and are artistic in their own ways. Also, all of which I am proud and thankful for. So, when I say jewelry making is a love of my life, this really stems from a true love of fabrics, rocks, paper, color and texture being in my genes.
These days, it's difficult to pin oneself down to one thing artistically. There is so much out there to try and do, but I have chosen one designing and creating jewelry! I started off just fixing things, years ago and I began designing for myself. Then a few commissions and small shows have helped inspire me even more to continue. My loyal customers continue to keep me busy and working in a craft I love and enjoy!
I get my ideas from all over, the evening sky on a paricular night, the color combination on a box of tissue, a bead... I love color and use a lot of them!!
I am excited to be able to share my work with you and make them available for purchase so that you too can enjoy the color and textures I have created.
Thanks for listening and please come back.
